Homecoming is Raleigh Society's 10th anniversary event. It was held at *Scape. Raleigh members gathered to relive the old experiences, reminisethe old memories, and refresh each other with our lives since our last expeditions. Many brought their families and kids. We had family-friendly programme within the seminar room - aka Little Tikes mini playground (and a mobile "playground" called Sebastian, who could have doubled up as Superman as he carried the kids around the room).
Tiong Hock and Pauline shared their experiences during the 10th Anniversary Project to Ooty in India to construct barrier-free toilets for the disabled community there. Of course, the project was aptly named - Project Reli(e)ve. Eileen updated everyone on Raleigh Society's updated website, which can be viewed at www.raleigh.org.sg, as well as a couple of initiatives that we are embarking on in 2012 (including a new grant for youths to go for the International expeditions as well as an opportunity to volunteer with us together with Lakeside Family Centre). Everyone also had an emotional time (I hope!) looking through the old photographs of all our past expeditions and activities in the last 20 years, wishing we could look as young as we looked in the photographs, at our very own "Down the Memory Lane" corner of the room (with Victor's photographs, curated by Weilin).
